Madam, Sir,

I recently received a notice that MasterCard intends to impose a new
"chip card" card on me.

As a result, please reduce my credit limit to three thousand dollars.
Given the differences in the risks between the former system and this
system, and in particular in who is likely to bear them, this is the
most I am willing to risk under the new system.

Unless I am wrong in my expectations, and MasterCard is willing to let
me continue using traditional stripe-and-signature cards, in which case
please notify me of this.
